JPG, PNG, WebPAbout the Image Sepia filter
The Image Sepia filter runs entirely in your browser. Drop or select an image, set the Intensity slider between 0% and 100%, and click Apply. The tool uses the standard sepia matrix transformation: each output channel is computed as r = 0.393R + 0.769G + 0.189B, g = 0.349R + 0.686G + 0.168B, b = 0.272R + 0.534G + 0.131B. The intensity slider blends the sepia result with the original pixel — 0% leaves the image untouched, 100% produces a full sepia tone. Nothing is uploaded; all processing happens locally.
How to use it
- Click the drop zone or drop an image file onto it.
- Drag the Intensity slider — higher values produce a stronger sepia effect.
- Click Apply to render the effect onto the image.
- Click Download to save the result, Reset to restore the original, or Clear to start over.
Frequently asked questions
What does the intensity slider do? 0% keeps the original image. 100% applies a full sepia transformation. Values in between blend the two for a subtler effect.
What is the output format? The download is a PNG file. This preserves detail and avoids compression artifacts.
Does this tool upload my images? No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your image never leaves your device.
Can I apply the effect multiple times? Yes. Each Apply works on the current canvas, so successive clicks compound the effect. Use Reset to return to the original.
